Harada H. & Vězda A. (1999): Gyalidea kawanae (lichenized Ascomycota, Solorinellaceae) sp. nov. from Chiba-ken, central Japan, with notes on Gyalidea pacifica - Nat. Hist. Res., 5(2): 57-62

Two species of Gyalidea from Japan are taxonomicaliy treated. Gyalidea kawanae H. Harada et Vězda is described as new on the basis of specimens from Chiba-ken, central Japan. It is characterized by having goniocystangia, relatively large (0.35-1.00 mm diam.), adnate apothecia with ±dark brown proper margin and pale brown discs, transversely 3-5(-7)-septate ascospores (15-24 x 6.5-8 µm), and by saxicolous habit. It was found on friable rocks in partial shade in forest in the warm temperate zone. … EndNote Read more...

Tibell L. & Ryman K. (1995): Revision of species of Chaenothecopsis with short stalks - Nova Hedwigia, 60: 199–218

The taxonomy, distribution and ecology of eight short-stalked species of Chaenothecopsis are described. The species are parasitic, parasymbiotic on lichens or free-living algae or saprophytic and are often quite specific with respect to host. A key to the species is supplied. Two new species, C. kalbii Tibell & K. Ryman, occurring in Australia and the tropical Americas, and C. pilosa Tibell & K. Kalb, known from tropical South America and Africa are described. The following new combinations are suggested: … EndNote Read more...
