Diversity of lichenized and lichenicolous fungi in the Ennstaler Alps (Austria: Styria, Upper Austria). – An inventory of the lichens so far recorded in the Ennstaler Alps is presented. The catalogue for this part of the Eastern Alps contains 645 taxa of lichens, 115 lichenicolous fungi and 12 micromycetes frequently associated with lichens. Abrothallus stroblii Hafellner, Buelliella poetschii Hafellner, Lichenochora elegantis Hafellner und Stigmidium petri Hafellner are described as new to science. The new combination Endococcus sendtneri (Arnold) Hafellner is proposed. In addition to the newly described species, Thelotrema suecicum, Arthonia biatoricola, Endococcus karlstadtensis and Sclerococcum griseisporodochium are recorded for the first time in Austria. Buelliella poetschii is also reported from Switzerland and the U.S.A. New records for Styria represent Gyalidea subscutellaris, Mycobilimbia pilularis, Polyblastia abstrahenda, Endococcus sendtneri, Merismatium decolorans, Polycoccum marmoratum, and Polycoccum peltigerae. New to Upper Austria are Cheiromycina petri, Mycobilimbia fissuriseda, Polyblastia abstrahenda, Protoblastenia szaferi, Carbonea herteliana, Endococcus sendtneri, Graphium aphthosae, Intralichen christiansenii, Lichenosticta alcicornaria, Phaeospora rimosicola, and Sphaerellothecium cladoniae. Endococcus sendtneri is added to the mycoflora of Salzburg.
