The new species Catillaria austrolittoralis Kantvilas & van den Boom is described from coastal rocks in southern Australia including Tasmania. It contains argopsin or pannarin, two compounds previously unreported for the genus. Keywords: argopsin, biodiversity, lichens, pannarin, taxonomy.
