The new lichen species Ramalina sayreana (Ascomycetes: Ramalinaceae) from central Mexico produces a homologous series of orcinol paro-depsides including 2-O-methylstenosporic acid (the major product) and 2-O-methyldivaricatic acid, both of which are new substances, and 2-O-methylperlatolic acid.
