When checking a population of Fellhanera subtilis growing on Vaccinium myrtillus in Hälsingland, Sweden, the second author observed a lichenicolous fungus growing associated with it. The fungus was collected and subsequently tentatively determined to a Stigmidium sp. When more closely investigated by the first author, it was found to agree with Stigmidium vezdae Matzer.
