The new species Endophragmiella franconica Brackel & Markovskaja is described from Bavaria, growing on the thalli of Platismatia glauca and Hypogymnia physodes. The second lichenicolous species of the genus is characterised by 1-septate conidia with a collapsed basal cell. Its features and the differences to the other species of the genus, especially E. hughesii D.Hawksw., are discussed.
