The lichen flora in the former shipyard Eriksbergwarvet, situated on the northern shore of the river GOta iilv, just opposite the downtown area of Goteborg, was investigated during five days in 1992. Building of new ships was shut down in 1978 -79 and the area has after that, until 1992, been used only extensively by man. The new species Arthonia aggregata, Chionosphaera lichenicola, Lecanora polysphaeridia, Nigropuncta groenlandica, Sclerococcum verrucisporum, Stigmidium microcarpum, Vouaxiella caloplacae and Zwackhiomyces physciicola are described. This study presents the results of an inventory of lichen species on the walls of 344 medieval and renaissance churches in the Netherlands. In total, 194 species were recorded, of which several are more or less confined to this habitat in the country. We found several regional differences in species composition: 1.
