We performed a phylogenetic analysis of the lichen family Asterothyriaceae, using morphological, anatomical, and ontogenetic data. The results support generic status of Psoro- theciopsis and Asterothyrium in their current circumscription, while Gyalidea becomes para- or possibly polyphyletic when including G. epiphylla and G. phyllophila and excluding the monospecific Solorinella as a separate genus.
