Abstract: 128 lichen taxa are reported from the Tauplitzalm region (Styria, Austria). Several records are from the entrance area of two caves. Among the rarer species are Biatorina picila, Farnoldia jurana ssp. muverani, Gyalecta subclausa, Hymenelia heteromorpha, Lecanora reuteri, Melanolecia transitoria, Peltigera kristinssonii, Placynthium pluriseptatum, Thelidium subrimulatum, Th. subsimplex, and Th. verrucosum. Abstract: A list of 73 lichen species in 33 genera, collected in the Bosque Esquinas, a tropical perhumid lowland rainforest in the south of Costa Rica, and in the surroundings of the Biological Station La Gamba, is presented. In the Bosque Esquinas the collections were made in the vicinity of the Esquinas Rainforest Lodge and mainly comprise foliicolous species. Breuss O. (2000): A peculiar new Catapyrenium species (Lichenized Ascomycetes, Verrucariaceae) from Mexico, Linzer Biol. Beitr., 32(2): 1053-1055

Abstract: Catapyrenium dactylinum is described as new from Mexico. It is outstanding in having erect, inflated, nodular to finger-like lobuli the apices of which bear innate pycnidia. These are of Dermatocarpon-type. The new species is the only representative of the genus that is known to have pycnidia. Endocarpon myeloxanthum, a peculiar liehen species from Mexico, is described as new. It is the only Endocarpon species known to have a yellow medulla. It is so far only known from the type locality.
