A new lichen from Tasmania and South Australia, Neofuscelia subloxodella Elix & Kantvilas, is described. Twenty-three additional lichen taxa are reported from Tasmania for the first time, and notes on their distinguishing features, distribution and ecology are provided. The new combination, Parmelina pseudorelicina (Jatta) Kantvilas & Elix, is proposed.
