Lecanactis subdryophila Follm. et Vězda (Lecanactidaceae, Arthoniales, Ascolichenes) is described as a new corticolous species from the coastal belt of the Central Chilean sclerophyllous region. Some remarks concerning its morphology, chemistry, ecology, and sociology are included.
