Sphaeropezia everniae, growing on Evernia perfragilis, with ascomata mostly 175–275 μm diam., a pore mostly 30–90 μm diam., an exposed ascomatal wall mostly 45–87 μm wide, a lateral exciple 30–85 μm thick, poorly developed periphysoids, a K/I+ blue hymenium, ascospore walls and septa, and (1–)3(–4)-septate ascospores, mostly 12–14 × 4.5–5.5 μm, is described as new to science from northern Alaska.
