Stigmidium sapmi sp. nov. and other lichen-associated fungi of Padjelanta National Park, Sweden

We report 60 strictly or facultatively lichenicolous fungi including lichenicolous lichens as new to Padjelanta National Park. Among these, 20 species are new to Sweden, including one described new to science, one new to Europe and five new to Fennoscandia. The material was collected in Padjelanta National Park in 2020, 2022 and 2024. Stigmidium sapmi Isaksson & R.Vicente is described as new to science. The other species that are new to Sweden are: Arthonia epipolytropa, Chaetopyrena penicillata, Endococcus collematis, Epibryon solorinae, Lichenochora constrictella, Nesolechia cetrariicola, Opegrapha buelliae, O. geographicola, Polycoccum islandicum, Protothelenella santessonii, Roselliniopsis gelidaria, Sphaerellothecium epilecanora, Sphaeropezia figulina, Stigmidium schaereri, Taeniolella diederichiana, Talpapellis solorinae, Tremella cetrariae, Trichonectriella lichenicola, and Xenonectriella lutescens. We further report some of the species found in Lule lappmark from other regions: Arthonia epipolytropa as new to Ångermanland, Endococcus collematis as new to Gotland and Lycksele lappmark, Epibryon solorinae as new to Jämtland, Rhagadostoma brevisporum and Taeniolella diederichiana as new to Torne lappmark, Sphaerellothecium cladoniae as new to Öland and Tremella cetrariae as new to Uppland. Protopannaria is a new host genus for Xenonectriella lutescens, Solorina saccata a new host species for Trichonectriella lichenicola, Tetramelas geophilus a new host species for Opegrapha buelliae and Solorina bispora a new host species for Talpapellis solorinae. Short descriptions are provided for species new to Sweden.
