One species and one variety of lichenicolous fungi are described as new to science: Epibryon verrucariae Zhurb. (on Verrucaria margacea), with non-setose ascomata, well-developed periphysoids, and mainly 1-septate ascospores; further Merismatium heterophractum var. placynthii Zhurb. (on Placynthium pannariellum), with ascospores mainly 3 –5-celled in optical section. Sclerococcum attendendum s.l. on Pyrenopsis sp., possibly representing a distinct taxon, is characterized. Gyrophthorus gracilis and Polycoccum sporastatiae are newly reported for Russia, while Cercidospora soror, Endococcus verrucosus, Lichenopeltella inconspicua, Sagediopsis aspiciliae, and Sclerococcum australe are new to the Murmansk Region. In asci of Merismatium heterophractum, the formation of two tetrads of differently coloured spores was sometimes observed. A synopsis is presented for 160 species of obligately lichenicolous fungi recorded to date from the Murmansk. Key words: Floristics, lichen-dwelling fungi, Northern Europe, taxonomy.
