This paper reports Ramalina lichens growing where they shouldn′t—in other words, in unexpected localities outside their normal geographic or temporal distribution, or on unusual substrates. The anecdotes herein include both my observations as well as others, compiled by me while working at various herbaria and traveling over the past 10 years. All species identifications were confirmed with TLC.
