As a result of the revision of historical collection of lichens from Caucasus, one new species of lichenicolous fungi for Transcaucasia was identified – Bryostigma phaeophysciae (Grube & Matzer) S.Y. Kondr. & Hur, and the lichenological question of the first half of the 20th century has been solved.
