The present study reports 12 lichen taxa from India for the first time. The species are—Agonimia bryophilopsis, Aptrootia elatior, Astrothelium rubrocrystallinum, Bathelium carolinianum, Fulvophyton desertorum, Graphis emersa, Malmidea bacidinoides, M. gyalectoides, Myriotrema classicum, Porina ahlesiana, Pyrenula albothallina, and Trypethelium xanthoplatystomum, collected from Ultapani forest range under Manas Biosphere Reserve, Assam.
