Current environmental scenario about using synthetic products has led global community to take information about the toxic effects. Due to fatal diseases, eco-imbalances, and bad health conditions of the globe created by the effluent loads of synthetic dyes, the observer agencies have spread awareness about introduction of green products in all walks of life. The search for green products, researchers have found lichen as one of the alternative source of colorants for textiles. This chapter is dealing with the lichen as suitable source of the colorants in different fields, their classification, and future prospects of lichen in various fields. Hopefully, the chapter will add new information in the knowledge hub of researchers, dyers, as well as traders and academician to explore the new source of colorants using modern tools and will make the ease of their application in all fields.
