phytosociology; Greenland; Arctic; numerous lichens listed [in German with English summary: ] Dryas integrifolia is in the North American Arctic a very common species occurring in many different habitats. This paper presents a preliminary survey of the vegetation types con taining Dryas integrifolia in the Uummannaq district, Northwest Greenland. Species richness and biodiversity are dealt with. With inclusion of the cryptogams many vegetation types with Dryas integrifolia show more than 60 species per relevé. The highest species numbers are found in stands on weakly acid and more or less dry soil.
