Abstract: Microclimate and distribution of terricolous lichens and mosses in a light oak forest (Luzulo-Quercetum) are investigated. The examination area is located between a shady humid slope and a sunny dry slope. The distribution of the cryptogams is shown to be determined by light and moisture. It reflects the microclimatic gradient clearly.
