Five species of Peltula and two species of Heppia are reported from India. Of the seven species, Heppia lutosa, H. trichophora, Peltula euploca, P. obscurans, P. patellata, P. tortuosa and P. zahlbruckneri, only H. trichophora and P. euploca were previously known from India.
