The lichen coenoses of the dolomite range by Lake Balaton. Author started the investigation of the lichen cenoses of the dolomite sites of the Balaton upland in 1953 in the environs of Keszthely; from this point he passed along on the northern shore of Lake Balaton and completed his studies in the summer of 1969 at Balaton füred . The results of his investigations have already been published elsewhere (cf. GALLE 1956, 1961,1967). The present contribution endeavours to give a more comprehensive picture of the lichen cenonses of the dolomite range by Lake Balaton. From the investigated regions eight lichen cenoses are described, of which seven - motly photophilous, xerophilous and basiphilous associations - belong to the Epipetretea lichenosa class and one soil inhabiting belongs to the Epigaeetea lichenosa class. A new subassociat ion is described from the environs of Balatonfüred, the dolomite cliffs of the "Koloska-sziklák" and the "Loczy-barlang" where the basiphilous lichen cenosis Squamarietosum versicoloris Aspicilietum calcareae novo subass. is found. The detailed description and evaluation of the cenoses are given in the main text .
