Preliminary checklist of the lichens of Kazakhstan. Available online at http://www.geobotanik.uni-goettingen.de/spribille/. Based on a review of the literature, we provide a synonymized checklist of the lichens of Kazakhstan. A total of 555 species are listed as accepted. The list should be useful as a basis for future lichenological investigations and as a working list for an upcoming annotated checklist of the lichens of Kazakhstan (Wagner & Spribille, in prep.).
